As many of you know, we visited my brother and his family in NY at the beginning of October. Miles and I got to see Niagara Falls for the first time, and it was breath taking.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Love and Cheers,

Hi everyone.
I greet you sleep-deprived and five pounds fluffier, but I’m so happy to be back! Me, Miles, and our son returned from Buffalo, New York yesterday.
Miles is packing the good photos on his camera, but I wanted to share some photos from my tour of the TR Inaugural Site. (Please excuse the crummy photos taken from my old phone.)
This is the private residence where Theodore Roosevelt was inaugurated into presidency in Buffalo, New York 1901.
President William McKinley was shot at Buffalo’s Pan-American Exposition on September 6th, 1901. Vice President Theodore Roosevelt took the “oath of office” in this exact spot September 14th, 1901—the same day McKinley died from his wounds. The private residence belonged to Roosevelt’s good friend Ansley Wilcox.
Another photo of the same library from the Roosevelt inaugural site.
Books from the Wilcox library.
Mr. Roosevelt kindly took a selfie with myself and my sister-in-law Jen (on the left).
It’s hard being President…
Love & Cheers,
Rachel McKee
Note: The cover image and the picture of the outside of the Wilcox home were found on the TR Inaugural Site.
Miles captured these photos of the Indian Creek, Moab, Utah area while climbing with his buddy in 2009.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Love & Cheers,
Rachel McKee

Notice that I changed the title from Pic Pick Friyay to Picture Pick FriYAY? I had a couple people comment that the first title was confusing and looked like a typo, so hopefully the new title is better. (Thank you for the feedback!)
Anyway…
This week’s Picture Pick FriYAY is all about San Francisco. We visited San Fran when we went to Petaluma California for my brother’s wedding. San Francisco is a wonderful city, one that I would like to explore more some day. These pictures were taken in September, 2012.
Happy FriYAY!

Miles took these photos in 2009 when he and his best friend embarked on a climbing trip around the U.S.
One day I hope Miles and I go to Joshua Tree together. The landscape is incredible. For now, I will just enjoy Miles’ photos, I hope you do too.
Happy Friyay.

Happy Friyay! I chose images from Friday Harbor, Washington to share with you guys. Friday Harbor is one of the places in the Puget Sound that I picture when I am writing my YA novel. As I mentioned in the post where I explain my YA novel, Rebecca (the heroine in my story) wants to study marine biology, and Friday Harbor would be a fantastic place to fall in love with marine life. There are whales, porpoises, seals (so many seals), star fish, crabs, clams, and much more.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi guys,
Happy Friyay! My week has been BUSY! I’ve been working like a mad woman on my YA novel. My manuscript has become my second child and a bit of an obsession.
So, I am happy to spend some time on Pic Pick Friyay. I started Picture Pick Friyay last week with my 50th post. This week I would like to show and tell you about The Methow Valley in Wa. Ladies and Gents, The Methow Valley is the hidden gem of Washington. It holds a very special place in our heart. Miles proposed at The Freestone Inn located in the Methow Valley in October of 2012. We spent our one year anniversary there as well.
I combined two trips into one for this post:
Ok, I am going to shut up now and let Miles’ pictures do most of the talking.
Happy reading, writing, living, and loving folks.
